Howdy! I am Brian Joseph. Buffalo NY native, IT professional, avid cyclist & all-around outdoors enthusiast… but my most important role in 2018 is that of a cross-country ‘Bike the US for MS’ team leader. Thank you for joining us on this 3800 mile journey to defeat Multiple Sclerosis.

Already dozenBTUSFMSs of sponsors have stepped forward to donate to our ‘Bike the US for MS’ team’s goal of $1/mile per rider. If you wish to contribute to the cause we gladly accept funds, kind words, and high-fives! Any and all support is very welcome.

Multiple Sclerosis has been visible in my family since before I could understand the disease’s implications. Canes and wheelchairs are as familiar at Hagerty summer picnics as burgers & bonfires. Andrea H. struggled with complications for years until her passing. Tom H. has been a very active M.S. patient for decades. His dedication to sled hockey, fundraising, and work at the local chapter led to his induction into the National M.S. Society’s Volunteer Hall of Fame in 2001. His commitment to active volunteerism was a key inspiration for last year’s Bike the US for MS 2017 tour.

Multiple Sclerosis is a devastating auto-immune disease for which we currently have no cure. New and exciting treatments have, however, given M.S. patients hope! Extensive research – often funded by private donations – has yielded wonderful new opportunities to not only arrest symptoms but also reverse damaged tissue. These great strides mean M.S. is truly in the sights of science. With better funding and a little more time we might truly have this disease beat.
