Day 10

2017.6.6

Pulaski, NY
Oh boy: what a doozie. Very cold, long, wet day today. Hardest day on the bike I’ve ever had. Thank God my new Bern rainpants (donated by Campus Wheelworks) kept the legs dry, and everything else kind of kept the water insulating like a wetsuit!

Tom and Amanda cooked pancakes at Rest Stop 1. We stopped at a very hospitable townie bar with cute dogs (& hot chocolate). The route leaders managed to snag us rooms at a motel which made all the difference at the end of the day. Warm showers and warm beds all around. Then a supplied breakfast all around!

Rose: Awesome shortening of the route in favor of dry beds. Puppies.
Thorn: So much wet and shivering.
